Behaviour Change and Motivational Interviewing
Changing behaviour and adopting ‘healthier’ lifestyles is notoriously difficult. Moreover, health professionals who are ‘experts’ in the field of what changes need to be made are rarely experts (because they receive little or no training) in how to help and motivate people to make those changes. Consequently, they often rely simply on ‘telling’, ‘persuading’ or ‘threatening’ individuals that they must make changes. This rarely works and indeed, paradoxically, can increase resistance to change.

Team Development Intervention
Creating Effective Relationships and Dealing with Conflict.
This will be a 4 hour (plus break) interactive workshop using the ‘Strength Deployment Inventory’ (SDI) as our tool for exploring how we and others see the world, our own strengths and how to utilise the concepts learnt for enhancing both working and personal relationships whilst also understanding more about inter-personal conflict and how we might more positively deal with it.
SDI has many uses including helping to: Improve teamwork; Develop leaders; Support change management; Improve customer service, Improve relationships and Improve conflict management. The workshop is ideally delivered to 8-12 people but there is some flexibility around numbers as long as an appropriate training space can be provided.
Personal Development Intervention
Understanding ourselves and our connection with others
Facet5 is one of the most modern and advanced measures of personality available today. Used by organisations and consultancies worldwide, Facet5 harnesses the power of personality, supporting individuals, teams and businesses to realise their full potential. Facet5 provides a simple model and a common language to explain how people differ in their behaviour, motivation and attitudes, and more importantly, what can be achieved.
The individual will undertake a 15-20 minute online profiling questionnaire from which an in-depth personal report will be generated. This will be discussed with the individual in a private and confidential 1-2 hour feedback session. At this session goals and opportunities will be discussed.
This is an ideal one to one follow-on programme from the team SDI session and is ideal as a precursor to an ongoing mentoring programme.
Introduction to Leadership Workshop
Few things are more important to human activity than leadership. A lack of leadership or the application of inappropriate leadership can do untold damage to nations, corporations, businesses, non-profit organisations, charities and voluntary clubs. Inventories can be managed but people must have leadership.
A two hour interactive workshop will introduce participants to ‘thinking’ about what leadership is, differences in style and how effective leadership can lead to effective outcomes. An opportunity to reflect on individuals own experience of leading and being led.
Can be delivered as a standalone workshop or in conjunction with the SDI workshop to make a full day’s training. The workshop is ideally delivered to 8-12 people but there is some flexibility around numbers as long as an appropriate training space can be provided.

Workplace Challenge Champion Training
This training is delivered within your workplace to a group of colleagues interested in developing a more active workforce. We will provide volunteers with an introduction to workplace health and the inspiration, confidence, tools and resources to increase participation in sport and physical activity at their workplace using the Workplace ChallengeProgramme.
The training itself includes a short presentation, some break outs groups tasks and a chance to try out some activities that fit easily within the workplace setting.
